WP 3 – SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND RESULT ASSESSMENT

Objectives

  • 1. Define requirements for the enhanced CAD system to be effective in actual user scenarios and workflows.
  • 2. Validate the enhanced CAD system applying it on real cases in the actual production process of the industrial participants

Tasks

WP 3A System Requirements

  • Task 3.1: Survey on needs of different kind of user with different skills in 3D digital model creation, in use of CAD tools, in natural interaction techniques and use of new interaction devices; the survey will collect also ergonomics and usability requirements

  • Task 3.3: Identification of new workflows regarding both subdivision modeling techniques and interactive shape acquisition
  • Task 3.4: Detailed description of the software features needed and their integration with the rest of the system
  • Task 3.5: User interface specifications and ergonomic considerations

WP 3B System Validation

  • Task 3.6: Scenarios design by specifying the design object, the design goals, and the expected results in comparison with a traditional approach. The scenarios design will imply the creation of appropriate test-cases
  • Task 3.7: Scenario execution and report production
  • Task 3.8: Test on usability and user satisfaction on different category of users

Deliverables

  • DM 3.1 System Requirements
    • Survey report about state of the art and user needs
    • Document explaining the new workflows
    • Document explaining the new features needed and their UI, with ergonomic considerations
  • DM 3.2 System Validation
    • List of scenarios and associated test cases
    • Report on scenario execution and obtained results in comparison with traditional approach
    • Usability report based on different users feedbacks
